Rajasthan Tarbandi Yojana 2026: Apply Online on RajKisan Portal for ₹48,000 Subsidy
Stray animals and wild boars destroying ready-to-harvest crops is one of the biggest challenges for farmers in Rajasthan. To combat this, the state government has officially re-launched the Rajasthan Tarbandi Yojana 2026. This scheme provides massive financial assistance to farmers for installing wire fencing (Tarbandi) around their fields.
If you have not yet secured your farm, now is the time. The government is offering up to a 70% subsidy, meaning you can get up to ₹48,000 deposited directly into your bank account. In this guide, we will walk you through the eligibility criteria and exactly how to apply online via the RajKisan Portal.
What is the Rajasthan Tarbandi Yojana?
The Tarbandi scheme is an initiative by the Rajasthan Agriculture Department. Installing high-quality wire fencing is expensive, often costing over ₹1 Lakh for a standard field. Through this scheme, the government shares the financial burden with the farmer, ensuring that hard-earned crops are not destroyed overnight by stray cattle (Nilgai) or wild animals.
Key Benefits & Subsidy Amount
- General Category Farmers: Receive a 50% subsidy on the total cost of fencing, or a maximum of ₹40,000 (whichever is less).
- Small & Marginal Farmers: Receive an enhanced 70% subsidy, or a maximum of ₹48,000 (whichever is less).
- Community Fencing: If a group of 10 or more farmers applies together (minimum 5 hectares), they receive a 70% subsidy.
